Bridge 1, Wapping
Shadwell Basin opened in 1832 as part of the London Docklands in Wapping. At the eastern end a giant bascule bridge carries Glamis Road, and when still operational, required little power to raise it due to the large ballast tank.
Captured with a ZeroImage 2000 pinhole camera on 120 roll film. Developed in Caffenol-C-H and printed on Ilford Multigrade RC paper.
