Mining 1, Tavistock

Mining 1

Devon Great Consols, near Tavistock, was the largest copper mine in south-west England operating from 1844 to the 1870s, when production switched to arsenic, running until 1903. The massive rock tumbler sits derelict amongst the waste piles.

Captured with a ZeroImage 2000 pinhole camera on 120 roll film. Developed in Caffenol-C-H and printed on Ilford Multigrade RC paper.
